Random Thoughts 001
It is quite a sobering thought to think that all Humanity has invented or achieved over the last century – from electricity and automobiles, to computers, the Internet etc etc. – could be wiped out by something so natural as a solar flare. We all worry about cyber attacks taking down websites, or other electronic warfare, when the biggest threat to all we know currently is the star at the centre of our solar system, which we rely on for light and heat etc. One large solar flare can, and (probably) will destroy all electronics, mechanics and everything Humanity relies on at some stage. Some may think about how such an event may ‘cripple the internet’ and the likes, but this proves how dependant Humanity is on electronic items nowadays. But, what these people fail to think about, is the much larger scale at which a solar flare could affect us. If you think about it and consider what electronic services etc we need to function, the wider picture becomes quite scary. Things like Life-Support Systems would go down, vehicles would be made unusable, so therefore emergency services couldn’t work (firefighters, paramedics etc couldn’t get to the site of emergency, but then again, as there is no electricity, you wouldn’t be able to call them out either; Nuclear Power Stations’ Security Measures that keep the Nuclear Plant going into Meltdown wouldn’t function.
If a large solar flare does occur, then life as we know it could cease to exist. Humanity would have to go back to how it was a few centuries ago. People will have to plant their own seeds and grow their own produce, and possibly sell it at local markets for the population that cannot do so themselves. Horses will have to pull ploughs in farms, because modern tractors etc. will have been rendered useless.
All we have to hope is that our Governments have the measures in place so that, in case something like this does happen, we have ways of living to the degree that humans have become accustomed to.
I hope this hasn’t depressed you at all, and that you are aware of what could, and may, happen.
Thanks for reading, and I hope my next blogpost will be on a more cheerful note.

Quick Update
Hello again, this post is purely meant to serve as an update.
The Update:
I will, most likely, be posting tutorials on Vue 8 Complete and Vue 10 Infinite (when I get it). These will be screenshot and text-based.
They will vary in difficulty, and I will post what I THINK the difficulty is.
That pretty much sums up the update.
Thanks for reading, and see you next time.
First Post | New Blog | More
Hello all, in case you haven’t seen my blog before, I go by the aliases online of toastface5 and iDominateU, among others. I had a site (at the same address as here), but I decided to start afresh. If you want to go and see my old posts to get a better understanding of the sort of blogs I used to write (and still do, to an extent), go HERE. Please bear in mind I am not going to be monitoring that site for comments etc, so don’t bother posting them.
In my original blog, I said I was going to post Vue pictures when and if I made them. This hasn’t changed, but I will be installing a gallery onto my site, for example the url could be gallery.idominateu.co.uk or idominateu.co.uk/gallery or something else entirely. The title is still undergoing much thought. Also, this brings me onto my next topic:
I will be getting a new computer for Vue related use, as well as a Vue upgrade – from Vue 8 Complete to Vue 10 Infinite. Although, as it will be a much higher spec than I have had before, I will also use it for games, including minecraft (Can play at the moment, but cannot record videos), so expect game videos etc from me (although I am not guaranteeing anything).
I have made a twitter promise to tweet more and blog a lot more (seeing as my old blog’s latest post was from October 2011 (!)
That is all for now, and I bid you all farewell.
-Sam.
